Owners Welcome

A little about Sharon Stuart . . .

Hi!

I have spent most of my working life as an early years practitioner working with pre-school children. Starting my career as a nursery assistant, to leading a very successful pre-school within a private nursery for many years, furthering my career I managed a private nursery here in Macclesfield, then Manchester, before returning to my roots managing a busy pre-school based within a school in Wilmslow.

I have recently spent time away from the Early years sector spending time at home bringing up my twins, and taking on the position of a director at Jasmine Pavilion, working alongside two other directors to get the building suitable for public use and the day to day management of it; this is where the pre-school has come about.

Since having my twins I have continued to stay up to date with all Early years; the curriculum, the nursery education grant, and all the welfare requirements. So I have taken the step to return to my first love of pre-school, and finally realise my ambition of setting up one myself within the main hall of Jasmine Pavilion.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children when you visit us.

Our Aims & Objectives

At Jasmine park pre-school we aim to . . . .

 - To provide a warm, secure, fun and stimulating environment, offering high quality care and education through play and the children’s own

interests working towards the Early Years Foundation Stage.

-  We provide a safe, caring, warm and friendly space giving children the opportunity to build close friendships with each other, their key person

   and other members of staff.

-  To be positive role-models promoting respect and care for each other and our environment.

- We listen to parents and carers and include your views into our setting where possible.

- As parents, you are the first educators of your child. We believe that children gain more skills and knowledge when we work together; by

sharing the knowledge that we each have and celebrating those special achievements together your child’s development will shine.

- To prepare children for a smooth transition into primary school, encouraging their self-help and independence skills.

About the Environment

Jasmine Park pre-school is based within Jasmine Pavilion, situated just off Whirley road, Broken cross, Macclesfield. It is set within large open grounds with a park, basket ball area and football fields, it has a large private car-park, and is fully accessible for all abilities.

We use the large hall within Jasmine pavilion for our main play space, this is set out into different learning area’s such as a warm cosy book/quiet area, a home corner, a large floor play space, sand and water, mark making and craft area's and table activities out for some focused learning, the children have lots of space to move about between their chosen activities as they help themselves to the different resources.

We have our own bathroom for the children to use along with the accessible bathroom for changing nappies etc. Our bathroom also gives us lots of storage space for storing our outdoor equipment along with additional resources that the children are able to select.  We are very lucky to have such a large outdoor area right outside our door, we are able to use the larger football fields, baseball courts and the children’s playground; all of these areas are thoroughly checked prior to use and the children are well supervised and love having so much space to explore. We are in the process of creating a more private outside space right outside the double doors of the hall to enable us to enjoy some 'free flow play' between inside and out.
